Getting Married Abroad for Turkish Citizens
Turkish citizens who want to get married abroad can get married at Turkish consulates, or if they meet the marriage conditions of the country they want to marry, you can get married in the presence of the official authorities of that country. However, both couples must be Turkish citizens for marriage at the consulate. So you have to consider that you cannot marry someone with dual citizenship or foreign citizenship at the consulate. In addition, due to the prohibition of some countries, marriages cannot be held at the consulate. Documents Required for Getting Married Abroad
Turkish citizens have to submit their application to the consulate in the city where they want to get married and fill out the marriage declaration form.
If the application will be made by the person appointed as a proxy, you should remember that a special power of attorney must be prepared. Apart from the declaration form, you must complete some documents. I should also mention that if you complete and submit these documents, which can also be prepared by the consulate in the country you want to marry, in Turkey, the marriage process will accelerate. Otherwise, as a result of long correspondence and bureaucratic procedures between the consulate and the Ministry of Interior, it may be a little late to get an appointment date for the wedding.

Certificate of Residence: You must obtain this document from the headman and have it certified by a notary public.
Identity Card and Passport: You must provide it with the photocopy and the originals.
4 Photographs: It is important that the photos are freshly taken.
Marriage Declaration Form: You must sign this form together with your future spouse at the Consulate, stating that you want to get married.

Health Report: A doctor's report showing whether there are any health barriers to marriage
Petition for the Woman to Use Her Previous Surname: It is the petition stating this request of the woman who wants to use her previous surname along with her marriage surname. It can also be arranged at the consulate.
Decision Regarding the Abolition of the Iddat Period: If one of the couples is a woman who has been married and divorced before and will marry before 300 days from the date of divorce, the court decision stating that the period of Iddat is abolished.
Decision of Annulment of Previous Marriage: If there is an annulment of the previous marriage among the couples to be married, the court decision regarding the annulment of this marriage.
Marital status document to be obtained from foreign local authorities by those who live abroad and want to get married abroad.
A copy of the deceased spouse's death certificate if the previous marriage of one of the couples was terminated due to the death of the spouse.

Getting married abroad with a foreign or dual national
Turkish citizens who are dual citizens or want to marry a foreigner abroad cannot do this at the consulates. In such cases, or if both of you are Turkish citizens and there is no Turkish Consulate in the city you want to marry, or if you want to get married in a place other than the consulate, you can make your marriage by applying to the official authorities of the country you live in. In this case, different procedures are applied within the framework of that country's own laws and marriage rules.
