Homemade Ice Cream Recipe

Materials

·         2 cups of milk

·         1 cup of cream

·         ¾ cup sugar

·         1 teaspoon vanilla extract

·         ½ cup strawberry puree

·         2 egg yolks

Fabrication

Prepare the Milk and Cream: Add the milk and cream to a medium saucepan. Heat the mixture over medium heat and remove it from the stove before it reaches the boiling point.

Beat Sugar and Egg Yolks: In a separate bowl, whisk sugar and egg yolks well. The mixture should lighten in color and reach a creamy consistency.

Add Milk Mixture: Slowly add the milk and cream mixture to the egg and sugar mixture. While doing this, stir constantly so that the eggs do not cook.

Heat the Mixture: Put the whole mixture back into the pot and cook over low heat, stirring constantly. Do this until the mixture thickens (about 10 minutes). Be careful not to let it boil.

Add Vanilla and Strawberry Puree: Add vanilla extract and strawberry puree to the mixture you took from the stove and mix well.

Cool and Rest: Place the mixture in a bowl and cool until it reaches room temperature. Then put it in the refrigerator to rest for at least 4 hours. Preferably leave it overnight.

Refreeze at intervals: Place the mixture in a freezer-safe container and freeze, stirring every 30 minutes (about 3 hours).

Serve and Enjoy: Divide the ice cream you prepared into bowls and serve immediately. You can decorate it with fresh fruits, chocolate chips or hazelnuts.
